We have tweaked our <a href="http://www.soccerproject.com/spnewl_spfa.php#item_15">daily news</a> section a little. On the first page, you will now also see yesterday's news. We believe this makes it a lot easier for a manager to keep track of his favourite teams.

5 years of SoccerProject

As some of you may have noticed from our logo, Soccerproject is celebrating it's 5th birthday today. Obviously we are very happy with this and we like to hand out some presents. Every manager will receive 2 weeks of free <a href="http://www.soccerproject.com/spnewl_spfa.php">SPFA-membership</a> and every manager born on June 23 will receive a 1 season SPFA-membership. We hope you all enjoy this and are looking forward to the next 5 years !

Exit TalkerBee

We have made an important decision. Talkerbee will no longer be used on SoccerProject. There were several reasons for this, but the most important one alone, really is enough for this decision. Some managers kept having problems with Talkerbee, so we were left with only one option : disabling TalkerBee. We are sorry for those managers who did use it frequently, but we feel there is no other option for SoccerProject.

Database maintenance

On wednesday June 3rd, Soccerproject will be offline from 11.00 AM CEST for database maintenance. We expect this maintenance to take 90 minutes, so by 12.30 PM CEST, the Soccerproject website should be online again. We apologize for any inconvenience!

S29 changes

As promised we have changed a few things at the start of this new season :

- Tax will be held on friendly cup prize money [10%].
- Player wage demands will be increased [1%]
- A Players agent will get a bigger share of the transfer price [1%].

We would also like to remind you that you can help SoccerProject by simply voting regularly on World Online games. Thanks!

Simulation troubles

As a result of the problems on Saturday, the 0400h simulation from today did not go as planned. We did our best to fix this as soon and as good as possible. Our apologies for any inconvenience..

Iran

Thanks to Saman and his friends we saw a lot of Iranian subscriptions during the past few weeks. Iran has now made it's way to the top 15 of the most represented countries on SoccerProject. Welcome Iran!

Player contracts

After the announced rules have been discussed on the forum, we have decided to make 1 change about them. The new rule that players will no longer accept a new contract within 30 days after they accepted the previous one, will be introduced in season 31 instead of season 29.

Inflation

Ever since we increased the extra prize money, the SoccerProject economy has suffered from inflation. We tried to lower this effect, for example by increasing the staff wages, but this turned out not to be sufficient. Therefor we have decided to take extra measures. - Tax will be held on friendly cup prize money [10%]. - Player wage demands will be increased [1%], and players will no longer accept a new contract within 30 days after they accepted the previous one. - A Players agent will get a bigger share of the transfer price [1%]. These measures will be introduced at the start of the new season and should enable us to increase the number of stadium advertising boards as soon as they start having the desired effect. Please use the forum to discuss your opinions about these changes ...

Friendly Cups limit

As from now a team, participating in a friendly cup, will no longer be marked as 'subscribed' for the total duration of the cup. When setting up the fixtures for a new round, all knocked-out teams will be marked as 'no longer subscribed' which will enable these teams to subscribe in a new cup. This has been a long requested feature and we hope to avoid some manager frustration by it.

Coaches

We have significantly increased the number of available coaches. It turned out there was a shortage, which was especially unpleasant for newly subscribed managers.

Google warning

At the moment SoccerProject has been marked by Google as a possibly dangerous site. We have immediately removed all advertising that could have caused this problem, but it seems to take a long time before Google responds to our request for another evaluation.

We can assure you though, there are no longer problems with our advertisements and there is absolutely no risk in visiting SoccerProject.

Staff wages

For a really long time already, staff members have been feeling undervalued because of the low wage they were earning compared to the player's wages. Therefor, the wage demands from all staff members will raise as from now. It's up to each manager to find out how much, but we're sure you will need to raise their current wage significantly. Also this will make each manager think about which staff he needs and how good they need to be for their team ... As a compensation SoccerProject will be increasing the number of stadium banners. We have chosen not to announce this measure in advance, because this would have given current managers an even bigger edge over new managers. New managers will have to pay these new wages immediately, whereas the current staff members keep their current contracts.
